Integrated Creative Design

Overview

The “ICD (Integrated Creative Design)” program aims to develop critical creative problem solving skills, a key factor in the future of knowledge-based business, through multidisciplinary education.

In December 2009, the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Energy and Korea Institute of Design Promotion (KIDP) selected Seoul National University School of Design as the center for Global Integrated-Design Education Organization” in which the Department of Business and Department of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering were later added.

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering, Department of Consumer Science, and Department of Textiles, Merchandising and Fashion Design were added in the Spring of 2011, the Department of Industrial Engineering in Spring of 2012, and the Department of Psychology and Department of Architecture in the Fall of 2013.

The Department is committed to providing team teaching, teamwork, and industry-driven learning environments to enhance creative and innovative problem-solving processes and the ability to develop diverse business models.

The IDC program is committed to providing educational programs for students to cultivate creative and innovative problem solving skills and offer opportunities to develop diverse business models through team teaching, teamwork, and an academic setting that collaborates with external businesses.
